Support for the Wood Shop is a continuing concern. Funds are always needed for supplies, new equipment and equipment maintenance. Woodworker Club members help support the club by carrying out community projects for Pelican Preserve and WCI in return for shop support. At times club members also take on commission projects for Pelican Preserve residents in return for donations for shop support. Some of those projects are shown here.
In 2012 the group carried out two projects for the community, a new oak bench for the indoor pool and a set of decorative post covers to be used for weddings.

In 2013 club members carried out a number of projects for Pelican Preserve residents. One of these was in response to a request to change the center component of the entertainment center below into a small credenza and a corner cabinet. Michel and later Michel and Paul M. took on the project. The results of those efforts are shown bellow. Mr. and Mrs. Acker, who commissioned the project, gave an extremely generous gift to the Club.
